New Arrivals and Featured Dogs

This is a very special case. On 12-11-12 we received an owner surrendered Dane from Dona Ana County Animal Shelter. His owner (who was in just as bad shape as his dog was in) could no longer afford to feed himself or the dog. We named him DiCarlo. He is about 2-3 years old and is a pure bred blue Dane. He had a broken leg as a puppy, and it did not heal properly so his left leg is a little weak. He is very large and weighed in at 100#. He should probably be about 150#.

Here is DiCarlo after week one. We fed him 3 times per day at 4 cups each time. He started being a little more active.

This is DiCarlo at week 4 on 01-09-13. He is now running and actively playing with the other dogs. He loves toys.

DiCarlo has come a long way, these are pictures of him in February. He continues to gain wight, we have slowed down the food a little to keep him from getting too heavy on his bad leg. He actively runs and plays with the foster's 14 month old puppy. He has a great personality and is very personable. He love love loves his people. He also gets along with all other dogs in the household.etting
